Postcard in Time

Over the weekend, a friend and I took a trip to Smithville. For those who don't know, it's a quaint little town that's also a shopper's paradise (in other words, a place guys would hate being dragged to...lol).

It was an overcast day, which kept the crowds away, but we lucked out and the rain held off. There's one shop I just love going into, because as soon as you enter, your sense of smell is entranced by the aroma of coffee, a scent that even when I didn't drink coffee, I always found pleasant.

While down that way, we stopped at an Antique Mall. I like looking at things of times gone by, but I don't often buy anything. I especially like looking through old photographs, and occassionally I'll come across one that is different enough that I plunk down some cold hard cash for ($5 or less...lol). That's what I did for the above postcard.

Someone named Ricardo hand-wrote "Remember?" on the front and mailed it to someone named Marian, along with a brief note on the back (click on it to enlarge). I showed it to a couple people, and a friend of mine wrote a sweet story about what he thought the story behind it was. If you want to read the story, email me.

Enjoy your day!
