day tripping
Lest you forget, I once walked this earth. My bones may turn to dust, but my mark shall live on forever more.
Do not part from me, my sweet. May I always find favor in your arms.
The arms of the branch wrapped around the tree trunk as if it was holding on for dear life. But alas, it died anyway.
The nights grow cold, but I shall not go quietly.
History is what was once living. May the lessons we learned not have to be taught again.
"What a Day that will be! No more cold nights—in fact, no more nights! The Day is coming—the timing is God's—when it will be continuous day. Every evening will be a fresh morning."
About the only things I collect are old photographs. Ones that speak to me like this one did. Sometimes it's the stance, other times it's the look in the eyes that calls out to me.

the pictures were from your road rally trip? were the sayings underneath each of them there or did you write them?? I am so confused :)
lol...doesn't take much, does it?
I wrote all of the sayings underneath, except the Bible verse one. They kinda just hit me when I was coming up with names for the photos.
p.s.,
No, they weren't from the ROAD RALLY. I was off on Monday and Tuesday and took some road trips up in Burlington County and also down back around the places we went to on the road rally that we didn't have time to explore.
I am moving back home just so I can start hanging out with you. You seem to do things that don't even cost that much money. Hope you have a room for me and the dog:)
Give me a couple bucks towards gas and you're on! :)
There are so many festivals in the fall that are free, I'm sure you could find some down your way. In fact, I'll help you out. HERE's a link to a calendar of things in El Paso. And here are direct links to a couple events they had listed there for the next couple of weeks:
Mission Trail Harvest Festival
October 7: 8am-noon (free)
Concordia Cemetery 15th Annual Walk Through History
October 21: 11am-3pm (cost?)
La Vina Grape Stomp and Harvest Festival
October 21 & 22: noon-7pm ($10)
12th Annual Interpretive Fair Weekend (Indian Festival)
October 22: time? (free)
Well, I think those will get you started anyway. Google is a wealth of information, check it out.
Did you read the whole thing that I wrote where me and Diesel are moving in?
Yes, I did, but my response was a safe bet, because chances are you'll never take me up on it :)
Though, he could have fun playing with the Rottweiller/Retriever mix that lives upstairs.
Can you fence your yard in so I can just let him out the door? I am use to not having to walk him.
There's a nice-sized fenced-in area in the back about 100 feet away that a previous tenant had placed their dog in. I think it's either 5 or 6 feet tall. Unfortunately, you'd have to walk that far to put him in there. Guess that's too much to ask, though, huh?
Hey, have you ever caught the dog whisperer on National Geographic? He's fantastic! He makes you realize that it's not the dog who has a problem, it's the fact that we keep wanting to treat them like humans.
THIS may be a better link. Really, you gotta catch him sometime. Lately, comcast has been giving me a free preview of the show, but I'm sure they're gonna take it away soon :(
I am going to see if my cable company offers this channel and diffentialy check it out. They had or are having a show on Rotti's that I would love to catch. Thanks for turning me onto to this.
